Associate Prevention Specialist (APS)
Possession of a high school diploma or GED
Documentation of 50 hours of prevention specific training including:
10 hours ATOD specific
Minimum required hours in each domain:
Domain 1: 3 hours
Domain 2: 6 hours
Public Speaking: 3 hours
Domain 3-5: Optional
Domain 6: 6 hours
Prevention Specific Ethics: 6 hours
Cultural Competency: 3 hours
Additional Hours in any Domain: 23
There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through distance learning trainings.
