The Center for Addiction Studies and Research is West Virginia Certification Board for Addiction & Prevention Professionals accepted distance learning provider of prevention education.
Education Requirements and Courses
Prevention Specialist I (PS I)
Documentation of 180 hours of education across the 6 domains including:
- 24 hours alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) specific
- 6 hours prevention ethics
There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through distance learning trainings.
