COVID-19 Update: The Alabama Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (AADAA) has waived the 50% face-to-face requirement for continuing education for all substance abuse certifications.
You may now complete all coursework through approved distance learning programs.
There is no limit on the number of hours may be earned through approved distance learning education.

This course includes 140 hours of approved education related to the domains and tasks of an ICRC certified counselor including 6 hours of professional ethics education and 4 hours of HIV/AIDS education.

This course focuses on the impact of substance abuse on the transmission, progression and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Topics covered include:
10 Hours – $115
A maximum of 10 of these hours may be earned through approved distance learning education.
Four (4) hours of Ethics education and four (4) hours of HIV/AIDS education must be completed as part of the recertification hours every two years.
