The New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board offers three tiers for Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) counselors.
Tier 1: Associate’s Degree
Tier 2: Bachelor’s Degree
Tier 3: Master’s Degree
Documentation of 90 clock hours of education pertaining to alcohol and drug abuse.
There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through distance learning education.
