Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

Documentation of 300 hours of education including 6 hours of face-to-face behavioral health professional practice ethics. A maximum of 200 of the 300 hours can be completed through approved home-study programs.

Michigan CADC Certification Continuing Education Requirements and Courses

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

Documentation of sixty (60) hours of continuing education when holding a three (3) year certification, forty (40) hours of continuing education when holding a two (2) year certification, or twenty (20) hours of continuing education when holding a one (1) year certification.

There is no limit on the number of continuing education hours that can be earned through home study trainings.
