The Center for Addiction Studies and Research is a Delaware Certification Board (DCB) approved distance learning provider of prevention education (DCB Provider Number 111).
Education Requirements and Courses
Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Documentation of 100 hours of education relevant to the field of addiction including:
- 50 hours of prevention specific education
- 6 hours of prevention specific professional ethics and responsibilities
There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through distance learning trainings.
